Noel O Brien, died in January 1986. It was a tragic time for his family who felt his loss most deeply of all. His passing cast a gloom over the entire area and in particular among his many friends in Moy Davitts.

Noel loved football. He was a talented and whole hearted young player who gave of his very best when he pulled on the Moy Davitts jersey. Many is the time he carried his team to victory. Among his team mates and colleagues in the club he was held in the highest esteem as was most evident at his funeral.

He is fondly remembered by all who knew him in the club.
